Each year on the day of the yahrzeit, the soul is elevated, and rises to greater heights, through the actions of the living family.

 

In addition to lighting a yahrzeit candle on the eve of the yahrzeit day, the traditional act of tzedakah (charity) is performed at this time.

Another time-honored custom of eternalizing the memory of a beloved family member and at the same time giving charity in loving memory of, is to sponsor a memorial plaque on the Memorial Board in our Synagogue.Ideally the plaques should be mounted in time for Yizkor services.

Each plaque, including the engraving, costs $500. Payment plans are available.
